Working With Little Rock Tree Service Pros
Little Rock Tree Service Pros takes down, prunes and grinds out trees for homeowners in Little Rock and the towns around it in Pulaski County and central Arkansas. The city itself shapes how that work gets done more than people expect.
Little Rock sits right where the flat Arkansas River delta meets the Ouachita foothills. On the east side and in the river bottoms, lots are level and easy to reach. In west Little Rock, Chenal and the neighborhoods off Rodney Parham and Cantrell, houses sit on slopes and rock ledges, often with a ravine behind them and a steep drive in front. In Hillcrest, the Heights and the Quapaw Quarter, the trees are a century old and the lots are narrow. The same tree can be a half-day job on one street and a full day with rigging on the next, so we price every job after seeing it.
The visit
We walk the tree and the ground around it. We note the species, the lean, dead wood, cracks, cankers and bark beetle signs, and then everything the tree could hit: the roof, the carport, the fence, the neighbor's shop, the service line running from the pole to your house. We also look at how a crew would get in. A backyard behind a gate on a hillside is a different job than a front yard on a flat street.
Whose tree it is
Little Rock's code makes it unlawful to remove a tree in a public right-of-way or on other city property without a permit, and the Public Works FAQ sends those requests to the Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry staff. Many street-side trees stand in that right-of-way. If a tree looks like it might be the city's, we tell you before we quote. If it is tangled in the primary lines on the poles, it is Entergy's job first. The line from the pole to your house is a different story: Entergy Arkansas says that service line is the customer's responsibility and that it can temporarily disconnect service at no charge so a tree contractor can work near it.
The quote
You get a written quote with one line per tree: what will be done, how the wood and brush will be handled, whether the stump is included and the price. Nothing gets cut until you approve it. If something changes once the work starts, such as hidden rot inside a trunk, we stop and talk to you before going further.
How we work
- Limbs over roofs and fences lowered on ropes instead of dropped
- Underground lines marked through Arkansas 811 before any grinding
- Pine wood hauled off or moved away from living pines, not stacked beside them
- Storm calls sorted by danger: trees on houses and blocked exits first
- Payment only for work you approved in writing
